Home Health Launches Revolutionary Telehealth Application to Transform Healthcare Access in Nigeria

Strategic partnerships with leading Indian health tech firms and hospitals set to bridge critical gaps in expertise and delivery

Home Health Management Services Limited has unveiled a groundbreaking telehealth application that promises to transform healthcare delivery in Nigeria. The launch event, themed Telehealth and Healthcare Partnership, introduced a platform that allows Nigerians to access comprehensive medical consultations directly from their mobile phones. The innovation eliminates traditional barriers of distance, cost, and access to qualified healthcare professionals.

A Vision for Accessible Healthcare

Speaking at the event, the founder of Home Health, Sam Adejoh Okedi, shared the motivation behind the initiative.
“Our goal is to create a continental footprint in healthcare delivery. The beauty of telehealth is that we can provide quality consultations from right here in Nigeria to patients across Africa. This system saves cost, time, and most importantly, lives,” he said.

Okedi also highlighted the economic implications, estimating that a nationwide adoption of telehealth could save the Nigerian economy up to $10 billion annually. The savings would come from reducing lost manpower, curbing the spread of contagious diseases, and lowering mortality rates.

Bridging Gaps Through International Partnerships

The platform is powered by collaborations with leading Indian medical technology firms and hospitals, including Tirubaa Technology, Asian Super Speciality Hospital, and Panacea.

Summit Gupta, Director of Panacea and Asian Hospitals, described the project as a bridge between India and Nigeria.
“This is a partnership to bridge gaps in expertise, technology, and rapid healthcare service delivery. We look forward to a rich exchange of knowledge and services and seek the cooperation of the Nigerian people,” he said.

Strong Endorsements from Stakeholders

The initiative has received endorsements from healthcare advocates and community leaders. Dr. Joy Audu, a medical practitioner and public health advocate, shared a personal account of a patient who lost their life after a desperate call for help went unanswered.
“This innovation is a very welcome agenda that will provide the immediate support so desperately needed in our healthcare system,” she said.

Catherine Ajefu, representing the Warrior Sickle Cell organization with over 200 registered children, also expressed optimism. Having lived with the impact of Sickle Cell herself, she believes the application will be a vital tool for patients managing chronic conditions.

Political Support for Digital Healthcare

The initiative has not gone unnoticed by policymakers. Hon. David Idris Zakaria, representing the Idah Federal Constituency, praised its accessibility and potential.
“This is a welcome idea. As lawmakers, we are already working on proposing a bill to protect patient information and ensure this innovation is supported by strong legislation. There is no cause for alarm; we are ready to make this law for the benefit of our people,” he announced.

A New Era for Nigerian Healthcare

The Home Health telehealth application is now available for download, offering Nigerians a secure and convenient way to access doctors, specialists, and healthcare services from their homes.
