NIPR Partners NTA to Broadcast World PR Forum 2026 to Global Audience

Nigeria is stepping up preparations for one of the most significant communication industry gatherings in the world. The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations has signed a strategic broadcast partnership with the Nigerian Television Authority to deliver extensive coverage of the World Public Relations Forum 2026, scheduled to take place in Abuja.

The agreement appoints the Nigerian Television Authority as the official television host broadcaster for the international forum. The event will bring communication leaders, policymakers, academics, and industry professionals from across the world to Nigeria later this year.

The partnership signals a deliberate effort by organisers to amplify conversations from the global event while positioning Nigeria as a hub for professional communication leadership.

A Strategic Broadcast Partnership

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed at the headquarters of the Nigerian Television Authority in Abuja as part of ongoing preparations for the global forum.

President of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Dr Ike Neliaku, signed the agreement on behalf of the institute. The Director General of the Nigerian Television Authority, Salihu Abdulhamid Dembos, signed on behalf of the national broadcaster.

Under the arrangement, NTA will provide broadcast coverage of the forum, ensuring that discussions, keynote sessions, and industry insights reach audiences within Nigeria and across international media platforms.

The broadcast partnership is expected to expand the reach of the event beyond physical participants, enabling professionals and observers around the world to follow the discussions shaping the future of public relations and strategic communication.

Nigeria Prepares to Host Global PR Leaders

The World Public Relations Forum 2026 is expected to bring together influential voices from government, business, academia, and the global communications industry.

The event is scheduled to be held in Abuja between November 15 and November 21, 2026, with sessions hosted at leading conference venues in the capital city.

Organised by the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management and hosted by the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, the forum will explore key global issues affecting the profession.

This year’s theme is Responsible Communication: The Voice of the World, reflecting the growing role of ethical communication in shaping public trust, governance, and social development.

Industry leaders believe the event will provide a platform for dialogue around misinformation, digital transformation, public trust, and the evolving role of communication professionals.

NTA’s Role in Amplifying the Global Conversation

The Nigerian Television Authority, Africa’s largest television network, will play a central role in ensuring the forum reaches a wide audience.

Through its national broadcast infrastructure and digital platforms, the network is expected to deliver comprehensive coverage of the event.

This includes:

  • live broadcast of major sessions
  • interviews with global communication leaders
  • panel discussion highlights
  • feature stories on industry innovation

For the organisers, the partnership with NTA reflects the importance of strong media visibility for an event that will attract participants from multiple continents.

By leveraging the broadcaster’s nationwide reach, the forum’s discussions will also reach students, practitioners, policymakers, and communication professionals across Nigeria.

Why the Forum Matters for Nigeria

Hosting the World Public Relations Forum represents a significant milestone for Nigeria’s communication industry.

The country is only the second African nation to host the prestigious event, which rotates among global regions and attracts leaders from the communications profession worldwide.

The forum is expected to showcase Nigeria’s expertise in strategic communication while highlighting the role of public relations in national development and international diplomacy.

Government officials and industry leaders believe the event will also strengthen Nigeria’s global reputation as a centre for communication excellence and professional leadership.

Building Momentum Toward November 2026

With several months remaining before the forum begins, organisers are continuing preparations through partnerships, industry engagements, and awareness campaigns.

The broadcast agreement with the Nigerian Television Authority represents one of the first major media partnerships announced for the event.

More collaborations with media organisations, academic institutions, and international communication bodies are expected as the countdown to November continues.

For the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, the forum presents an opportunity not only to host a world class professional gathering but also to demonstrate how responsible communication can influence governance, business reputation, and social progress.

As the world’s communication leaders prepare to converge on Abuja, the broadcast partnership ensures the conversations will resonate far beyond the conference halls.
