LivingTrust Mortgage Bank Appoints Dr. Kamaldeen Adekilekun as Board Chairman, Announces New Directors
LivingTrust Mortgage Bank PLC, a leading financial institution specialising in mortgage lending, has announced the appointment of Dr. Kamaldeen Adekilekun as Chairman of the Board of Directors. His appointment follows the nomination by the Osun State Government, a major shareholder of the bank, and approval by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
A press statement signed by Dorcas Ajayi, the Acting Company Secretary of LivingTrust Mortgage Bank, confirmed the appointment, which takes effect immediately and is subject to further communication from the Osun State Government.
Dr. Kamaldeen Adekilekun is a seasoned lawyer with over 23 years of experience. Before his appointment, he was the Managing Partner of a reputable law firm and previously served as a Cabinet member in the Bayelsa State Government. He holds a PhD in Law and brings a wealth of expertise in governance, legal affairs, and corporate strategy to the board.
In addition to Dr. Adekilekun’s appointment, LivingTrust Mortgage Bank has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of eight new directors.
Executive Directors:
- Timothy Gbadeyan, Executive Director, Mortgage Services
- Dr. Gbadebo Ayinde, Executive Director, Public Sector Group
Non-Executive Directors:
- Hon. Olusola Ogungbile, Commissioner for Finance, Osun State, with 20 years of banking experience
- Adeola Olajide, former partner at PwC, holds an MBA from Warwick Business School, UK
- Olanrewaju Afolabi, an economist with 20+ years in mortgage banking
Independent Non-Executive Directors:
- Adedoyin Amosun, Chartered Accountant, former Associate Director at PwC, with 27 years of experience
- Dr. Kamaldeen Adekilekun, PhD in Law, 20+ years of experience
- Michael Omolaja, former general manager at FirstBank, holds a Master’s in Intelligence and Strategic studies, with 30+ years of experience
Strengthening Governance and Legal Compliance
The bank also announced the appointment of Dorcas Oluwaseun Ajayi as Acting Company Secretary/Head of Legal Services. Ajayi, a seasoned legal expert with 17 years of post-call experience, has held senior in-house counsel roles for nearly a decade.
