Amel Ranks Among Africa’s Fastest in 2025

Amel International Named One of Africa’s Fastest-Growing Companies in 2025
Amel International Services Limited, the producer of Amel Susan food and baking products, has once again earned a spot on the Financial Times list of Africa’s Fastest-Growing Companies for 2025. The list, released on May 14th in collaboration with global research firm Statista, highlights businesses across the continent that have shown remarkable growth and resilience between 2020 and 2023.
A Significant Leap in Ranking
This marks the second consecutive year Amel International has appeared on the list. The company jumped from 104th place in 2024 to 80th in 2025. This leap reflects its commitment to customer satisfaction, quality production, and a strong presence in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry.
Despite economic hurdles such as high inflation and unstable exchange rates, Amel recorded an Absolute Growth Rate of 137.8% and a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 33.5%. This performance demonstrates the company’s ability to navigate a tough market and still thrive.
Statement from the CEO
“We are honoured to be recognised by the Financial Times,” said Akan Peter Nsek, Managing Director/CEO of Amel International. “This achievement reflects our dedication to excellence and innovation. We prioritise consistency and quality at every step—from sourcing raw materials and equipment to manufacturing, storage, and final delivery.”
He added that the company’s mission goes beyond just selling products. “We aim to create positive experiences for every customer,” he said.
Key Strategies for Growth
Amel’s success can be traced to its strict quality standards and continued improvement of its product line and sales strategies. One important move has been the exportation of products, which helps cushion the impact of currency volatility and ensures stable cash flow.
Looking Ahead
The company remains focused on expanding across Africa, launching new product varieties, and investing in sustainable innovation within the FMCG space. Its long-term vision is to become a household name across Africa and in global markets.
