Nigeria’s Information Minister Leads Delegation to 2025 NAB Show in Las Vegas

Nigeria’s Honourable Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, fnipr, is leading a high-level delegation of key government media executives to the 2025 National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show, currently underway in Las Vegas, USA, from April 5 to 9, 2025.

The event, themed “The Technology, The Trend, The Future,” is the largest global gathering for media, entertainment, and technology professionals, with a strong focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI), cloud-based broadcasting, the creator economy, and sports content production and streaming.

Joining the Minister are heads of several strategic media and regulatory institutions in Nigeria, including:

  • Comrade Salihu Abdulhamid Dembos, Director-General/CEO, Nigeria Television Authority (NTA)
  • Mr. Ali Muhammed Ali, Managing Director/CEO, News Agency of Nigeria (NAN)
  • Charles Ebuebu, Director-General/CEO, National Broadcasting Commission (NBC)
  • Dr. Lekan Fadolapo, Director-General, Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON)
  • Mallam Jibrin Baba Ndace, Director-General/CEO, Voice of Nigeria (VON)

The Nigerian delegation’s participation underscores the country’s commitment to strengthening global broadcast collaborations, enhancing technological exchange, and establishing strategic partnerships that can transform the Nigerian media ecosystem.

According to the Ministry, the NAB Conference presents a key opportunity to explore emerging innovations in broadcast technology, initiate content-sharing frameworks, and drive capacity-building programs aimed at elevating Nigeria’s media output to international standards.

As the global broadcast industry continues to evolve rapidly, especially with the rise of AI and cloud infrastructure, Nigeria’s engagement at the NAB Show marks a pivotal step in embracing digital transformation across its public broadcasting institutions.
