FirstBank Expands Digital Banking Footprint with New Digital Xperience Centre in Lekki

FirstBank, a leader in digital banking solutions, has unveiled its fifth fully automated branch, the FirstBank Digital Xperience Centre, located on Admiralty Way, Lekki. This state-of-the-art facility is designed to deliver seamless banking experiences through advanced self-service technology, reaffirming the bank’s commitment to innovation and customer convenience.

The newly launched Digital Xperience Centre is equipped with self-service kiosks for swift fund transfers, instant card vending machines that issue ATM cards within three minutes, advanced ATMs, and teller cash recyclers for seamless cash deposits.

Speaking at the launch, FirstBank’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Olusegun Alebiosu, highlighted the institution’s drive to redefine banking through world-class digital solutions.

“The Digital Xperience Centre is equipped with state-of-the-art features designed to provide a seamless and interactive banking experience,” Alebiosu stated.

A key highlight of the new centre is an AI-powered humanoid robot capable of interacting with customers in real time, providing guidance, and addressing enquiries. Customers can also engage remotely with relationship managers and customer service representatives through advanced video banking technology.

According to Abimbola Kunle-Ajayi, Group Head of Branch Operations and Services for Lagos and West, the Digital Xperience Centre significantly improves transaction turnaround time.

“A transfer that usually takes 15-20 minutes in a traditional branch can now be completed in less than two minutes. Similarly, card vending and ATM withdrawals are finalised in just a few minutes, making banking highly convenient for customers,” Kunle-Ajayi explained.

The launch of the Lekki Digital Xperience Centre is part of FirstBank’s ongoing expansion strategy, aimed at providing next-generation banking services tailored to evolving customer needs.
